This beautiful scar was hand-colored with camellias and onion skins. A vibrant mix of rusts, coppers and moss greens from brown onion peels, with soft indigo from camellias. All these beautiful prints and colors are extracted from natural, plant-based dyes through a process called eco-printing. Eco-printing is done by placing the dye materials on by hand then bundle dyeing, and each one takes a minimum of 5 hours, across two days, to complete. The fabric is 100% pure habotai silk, with a soft medium weight and lovely drape. It measures 160cm x 28cm.
