Dr. Boyd A Hardesty's Outdoorsman Trophy Collection
The Late Dr. Boyd Archer Hardesty of Rosalia, WA was a seasoned hunter and fisherman and a life member of the Safari Club International. His passion for hunting began early in his life as a 15 year old in 1947 when he shot his first bear. Over the course of his life, he hunted in more than 12 countries, including New Zealand, South Africa, Namibia and Botswana, just to name a few.
Though his 58-year hunting career is admirable on it’s own. His accomplishments extend beyond that. He was a graduate of WSU in 1953 and went on to complete his PhD in Biochemistry in 1961 from CIT. He is a published researcher with more than 100 peer-reviewed papers written throughout his career. He retired in 1999 after 35 years of teaching at the University of Texas in Austin, earning himself the prestigious status of Professor Emeritus for his time dedicated to the education of his profession.
